Why did you join Opticos?

During my final year at university, I’ll admit I was quite confused about what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted a role where I could learn quickly, be challenged, and get exposure to many different industries, but I wasn’t sure exactly what direction to take at first.

What I did know was that I wanted broad experience and a workplace where I could grow, ask questions, and get real responsibility early on. Management consulting seemed like a natural match, and when I started exploring different firms, Opticos stood out.

The Young Professional Program offered a structured and supportive onboarding, and the culture (personal, collaborative, and full of highly experienced colleagues willing to share their knowledge) made the choice easy. Opticos simply ticked all the boxes for the kind of environment where I wanted to start my career.

What is the best part about your job at Opticos?

Now, more than five years later, the variety and learning curve are still some of the things I appreciate most. I’ve had the opportunity to work across several industries, meet so many interesting clients, and take on challenges that have helped me grow both professionally and personally. No assignments are alike, and that constant learning is something I truly enjoy.

I also value the people and the culture. My colleagues are always supportive, knowledgeable, and willing to share their experience. As I’ve taken on more leadership responsibility myself, I’ve become even more appreciative of the strong development culture here, the openness, the trust, and the genuine encouragement to take initiative and grow.
