Account Sector Lead - Financial Services
An Account Sector Lead is responsible for identifying, building, and nurturing strategic relationships by understanding the needs of the client, designing solutions by demonstrating thought leadership to address their challenges. The role is responsible for driving profitability and growth while expanding the Opticos footprint in the Financial Services vertical consisting of Banking and Insurance clients. Further, this role is responsible for the client and client relationship while focusing on business development, revenue, delivery, and client satisfaction.
This person is a leader with a vision of accountability for a portfolio of strategic and complex business and IT projects in the banking and financial services domain.
Role Definition:
- Complete P&L accountability for the client.
- Responsible for new logo development as well as farming existing client relationships in the financial services domain.
- Securing long-term account growth while maintaining agreed profitability levels
- Leadership, planning, and management of all activities across the business development lifecycle
- Demonstrate expertise by bringing industry insights and can discuss a C-level agenda with potential clients
- Participate in delivery and play an active role in client assignments either in a leadership role or as an integral part of team delivery focused on realisation of a business outcome for the client.
- Articulate the business landscape and map client stakeholders
- Lead by example while coaching the account team across the business development lifecycle
- Formulate strategies for market development and closely liaise with the marketing team for development of collaterals
- Contribute to the overall development of thought leadership by authoring insightful articles and Points of View on relevant topics in the industry
- Participate in knowledge-sharing forums and speak on impactful topics that are relevant to the CxO agenda
- Drive shared experience building with the client
- Ideate and support in translating delivery experiences into actionable insights and use cases
Qualifications and Experience:
- +15 years of rich experience in a reputed business consulting firm across Delivery, Account Management, and client engagement.
- Strong track record in Banking in a tech-consulting environment, Professional Services or System Integrator (SI) environment.
- 10+ yrs of experience in working with/consulting for the IT organisation of large Banking, Insurance, and Financial Services organisations.
- A Post Graduate Degree in Management/Science/Engineering or equivalent.
